Strefa Społeczna Święta Wolności na 100czni tętni życiem i debatą
Mystic Festival narodził się w 1999 roku. Początkowo organizowany był w Krakowie, Wrocławiu, Chorzowie i Katowicach, by ostatecznie przenieść się do Gdańska – na dawne tereny Stoczni Gdańskiej (ul. Elektryków i Narzędziowców). Pod jego szyldem wystąpiły już w Polsce największe gwiazdy metalu i okolic, m.in. Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Slayer, Bruce Dickinson, Bring Me the Horizon, Machine Head, Slipknot, Celtic Frost, Sabaton, King Diamond, Nightwish, Mercyful Fate, Opeth i Emperor.
Podczas tegorocznej edycji, która odbędzie się od środy do soboty, 4-7 czerwca, w Gdańsku - w industrialnej scenerii Stoczni przy ulicy Elektryków - też gwiazd nie zabraknie. Wśród zespołów, które wystąpią na pięciu scenach są m.in.: King Diamond, In Flames, Exodus, Nile, Alcest, Apocalyptica, Whitechapel, Combichrist, The Kovenant, Perturbator, Cattle Decapitation, Skeletal Remains, Archgoat, Oranssi Pazuzu, Beherit, Turbonegro, Municipal Waste, Midnight, Absu, I Am Morbid, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown oraz Signs of the Swarm, a także przedstawiciele młodej sceny duńskiej: John Cxnnor, Møl, Cabal, Katla, Plaguemace i Embla. Niemałe wrażenia zapewni z pewnością projekt skandynawskiej supergrupy: Blood Fire Death – A tribute to Quorthon and the Music of Bathor.
