The Tawerna (The Tavern)
At the end of ul. Długi Targ, near Zielona Brama (the Green Gate), you can discover a restaurant with a port name- The Tavern. Chef Tomasz Czerniawski serves typical traditional Polish cuisine here. Sour soup based on sourdough and smoked bacon, fish soup and chard soup are the local proposals for a good start. Both meat and fish lovers will be satisfied with the visit here. The first ones may try e.g. wild boar neck, a lavish portion of roast duck and sirloin steak while fish lovers should taste fresh Baltic fish e.g. cod on spinach leaves and pike-perch in mushroom sauce.
